As in all industries, technology never stands still! We are constantly investigating areas where we can improve all aspects of our operations - in recent years innovations have led to significant gains in both efficiencies and quality.
Stores
We have invested heavily in chilling storage facilities at our central depot along with our members also investing in on farm cold stores and pack houses.
Systems
Over the years we have developed our growing operations to maximize our efficiency. Examples of this range from our raised seed bed through to our in field floret harvesting rigs.
Crop Safety
All our crops are grown under the Assured Produce Scheme, as well as many others including Tesco Nurture, Field to Fork, SEDEX, Quadex, LEAF. All our crops can be traced from seed to consumption.
Forecasting
State of the art weather stations are used to monitor and predict the weather which greatly aids us in all aspects of planning and production. It enables us to highlight optimum timing of all cultivations, irrigation, pest and disease control, and harvesting.
Trials Work
We carry out extensive trial work including variety trials, new crop trials, product handling trials, and many more.
